During a cocktail reception, guests were served a selection of wines alongside a range of dishes specifically chosen for pairing. Using the Thirsty Logic platform, attendees could explore how different foods interacted with each wine and compare expert wine and food pairing recommendations with their own instincts and preferences.
The experience highlighted one of the challenges facing both consumers and restaurants: while wine information is widely available, finding the right wine for a particular dish, occasion, and individual preference remains surprisingly difficult. Guests, all founders and leaders of hospitality businesses, were able to see firsthand how thoughtful pairing recommendations can transform flavors, enhance enjoyment, and create more memorable guest experiences. Many could also immediately recognize the potential business impact, from improving guest satisfaction and confidence to increasing beverage sales and overall check averages.
The evening also demonstrated how hospitality technology, proprietary beverage data, and AI-powered recommendation systems can help deliver personalized guidance at scale. By combining wine expertise with structured data and modern technology, restaurants can create more engaging guest experiences while helping consumers discover wines they are more likely to enjoy.
